Skylar Pacheco, 16, from Kitimat was picked to play in the KIJHL’s top prospect game in Fernie January 14. The game is part of the All Star weekend of the KIJHL. Two teams were chosen from the 18 teams in the KIJHL: Team Kootenay and Team Okanagan. Skylar is currently playing for the Creston Valley Thundercats. And on the first goal scored in the prospect game he picked up an assist. Skylar said, “It was an honour to be selected to play in the top prospects game.” Photo contributed
