Forty-five disc golfers came out to the seventh annual Thanksgiv-fling on Sunday.

The Thin Air Disc Golf Club held its seventh annual Thanksgiv-fling tournament on Sunday.

Forty-five disc golfers participated in the event and played two eighteen hole games during the day.

“It was a great day: everybody had a really good time, the weather was great. We had some really great scores and people really stepped up and played their best games today,” said the club’s president, Blaine Benner.

Though this is the seventh Thanksgiv-fling event, it’s the club’s 10th ever tournament.

“This is basically the course championship. We kind of have designated it to this weekend before Thanksgiving ever year now, but there was a few years where we had a mid-summer fling and a spring fling,” said Benner.

Benner also wanted to thank the tournament’s sponsors Pat’s Blue Ribbon, Old Milwaukee and the Flying Steamshovel, as well “all the guys and girls who come out and help us maintain the course and keep it clean and free of empty beer cans and garbage.”
