It may not be Wimbledon but at least no one was forced to wear white at the West Kootenay Open.

Nelson’s Matt Martin and Fernie’s Sara McFarlane each won men’s and women’s singles, respectively, during the weekend tournament at the Nelson Tennis Club.

Martin and Mclean each also walked away with doubles titles. Martin paired up with Ron Stinson to take the men’s side while Mclean won alongside Creston’s Bisette Piorecky.

Meanwhile, Nelson residents Don Macdonald and Anne Kwan earned the mixed doubles title.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated Dalvanir Mclean won the women’s singles. In fact, the winner was Sara McFarlane.
