Movie delves into mountain biking fear factor

Free screening of Reverence: A Journey Into Fear set for Dec. 13

Most people don’t understand it – or willing to accept it. But for mountain bike superstars it’s a part of daily life.

Sooke Mountain Cycle will present the newly-released movie Reverence: A Journey Into Fear, which delves deep into the psyche of elite mountain bike athletes.

The free showing is screened at the EMCS theatre on Dec. 13. Showtime is 7 p.m.

“Sooke stands to gain a great deal from mountain biking. I hope this movie might provide some inspiration and help get Sooke just a little bit closer to the potential which all of us riders know that Sooke has,” said organizer Lorien Arnold.

Sooke Mountain Cycle will also collect financial donations for Wild Arc and moviegoers are asked to bring items of non-perishable food items for EMCS’ annual food drive. The Sooke Bike Club will have a table to sign up new members.
