Clinton competitors place in Quesnel rodeo

Clinton rodeo competitors showed their stuff during recent BCRA events

The scorching heat made for a dry paddock and many a red neck at the 46th Annual Quesnel Rodeo, July 24-25.

Clinton’s Bacardi Zimmerlee took first place in junior barrel racing, while Craig Allison of Clinton and Riley Isnardy of Cache Creek tied for third/fourth in steer wrestling.

Rodeo payouts

Two area rodeo competitors hit pay dirt at the Nakusp BCRA Rodeo, July 27-29.

Bacardi Zimmerlee of Clinton took home $395.28 for placing third in junior barrel racing with a time of 14.811 seconds.

Ty Lytton of Lac la Hache and his partner Josh Cahill of Savona each collected $786.60 for taking second in team roping with a time of 7.6 seconds.
