Two members of the Langley Blaze have been selected for the 2016 Area Code Baseball Games next month.
Jonny Homza and Michael Stovman will suit up in the competition, which runs Aug. 6 to 10 in Long Beach, Calif.
Homza is batting .357 and has a .586 slugging percentage. He has three home runs and seven doubles among his 25 hits. He also has 16 RBIs.
Stovman is hitting .314 with a .490 slugging percentage. He has one home run and six doubles among his 16 hits with nine RBIs.
The games are from the top high school baseball players and will be attended by collegiate and professional baseball scouts.
The Langley duo are on a team made up of players from B.C., Alberta, Alaska, Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and New Mexico.
