Wayne passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Wayne is survived by Nicola his wife of 59 years, his children, son Wesley and daughter in-law Leona, daughter Roxanne. Grand children Kimberly, Brittany, Brendan, Averi, Damon, Millanie, Marilou and his great grandson Jayden.
Wayne will be remembered for being an honest hard working man with the best sense of humor. Wayne always had time for everyone. He would make friends every where he went.
Wayne was a logger for many years before becoming an electrician at the Crofton mill. Wayne loved sports he played hockey, softball, golf and he held the record for high Jump at Nanaimo high school for over 30 years.
A special thanks to the Ladysmith palliative care staff, Dr. Ibrahim, the nurses and staff at the CDH.
There will be a celebration of life for Wayne on August 19 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion at 9775 Chemainus Rd. From 1 pm -5 pm. First Memorial Funeral Services Duncan, B.C. 250-748-2134
