It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandpa, uncle, brother and friend.
Vic is survived by Marion, his wife of 40 years; daughters Carol (Pat) Bocking, Lisa Sparkes, Colette Sparkes; sons Matt (Carlee) Sparkes & Steven Sparkes; and 5 grandchildren.
He also leaves behind 2 sisters and a brother.
Vic was so proud of his family. Vic was a man always on the go and a helpful soul. He could build, re-build, or repair anything; was an avid gardener; and loved curling and golf. A jack of all trades, for sure, and master of several.
Vic was born in Claresholm, Alberta and worked in the telephone trade starting at Alberta Tel, then BC Tel, and Telus. His career took him to Calgary, AB, Victoria, BC, and finally Vernon, BC.
After retiring, his artistic ability shone through in his fine woodworking projects and artwork, many of which can be found in local businesses and homes of family and friends. He will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life will follow, hopefully in the summer.
