In loving memory ~

Will be dearly missed by all those who loved and knew her. Born in Salmon Arm, eventually residing in Gleneden. Val grew up in the hard working household of Peter & Dorothy Bustin with her siblings Lorraine, Julie, Sharon (Paterson), and brother Danny.

Val married her one love, of 30 years, Doug Harrison, from Whitehorse. They later resided in Winnipeg MB spending many happy years there. They had two children Katrina and Curtis of Winnipeg, MB.

She is remembered in the Salmon Arm community for her work at Lyndale Lodge, Pioneer Lodge, the Royal Bank of Canada and Scotia Bank YT.

She loved playing softball, alongside her husband Doug, her love of cycling and her love of her family pets, will be remembered by all who knew her. An avid canner and excellent cook and baker, many were lucky to enjoy her creations.

After only recently moving back to Salmon Arm, Val enjoyed creating her new home surrounded by her amazing gardens.

Valerie was the mother, wife, sister, auntie and dear friend, that never forgot your birthdays and special occasions, she enjoyed celebrations with all.

Unfortunately, her long fight with cancer took her much too young. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten by us all. We will cherish our memories of her and her infectious laugh. Pray she knows she will be sorrowfully missed.
