April 9, 1932 - January 7, 2022
Val passed away suddenly on the evening of January 7th at the age of 89.
She was a loving wife (of 61 years), mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family: daughters Sandra (Dwight) and Brenda (Jim). Val was Nana to Stephen, Sarah, Stephanie and Cameron.
She dearly loved her ten great-grandchildren: Shawn, Ryanne, Rily, George, Olivia, Addyson, Erik, Isabelle, Millie and Wyatt plus many nieces and nephews.
As a long time resident of the Cowichan Valley, Val was actively involved with her church - St. Peter's Anglican. Over her many years she enjoyed helping with CeeVac's (track and field club), Duncan Curling Club, enjoyed many trips with the Rotary Club and was a former Kinette.
Mom was known to always care for others, especially our Dad, who passed in 2014.
Donations in her memory can be made to Cowichan District Hospital.
Due to the COVID restrictions her memorial service will be a family gathering.
