In Loving Memory ~
Sylvia Springer (née Cheetham) was born in Vancouver B.C. on August 3rd 1932 and died June 24th 2022 in Port Alberni B.C. at the age of 89.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Louis, sister Gloria and parents, Viola and Harley.
She will be sadly missed by daughters Lorraine (Guy), Louise (Herb), Cindy, Colleen (Dave), and Carolyn; son Gary; grandchildren Thadd, Ashley (Neil), Nicholas, Tyler, Lee Arthur, Louis, Kent (Rebecca) with great-grandchildren Kaleb and Lyla Fairhurst.
A joyful spark has been extinguished. Sylvia will be remembered as a force to be reckoned with, a feisty and life loving woman. During her time in the Alberni Valley she has been involved in many things. Most notably The Barkley Sounds Choir, which was Sylvia's inspiration spanning the last 20 years. She remained their manager until just a few years ago. She was the Chair of Heritage Place - Assisted Living facility and President of her Strata Council.
