With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our mother Shirley Ann Fisher on July 18, 2016. Mom was born on January 17, 1933 in Toronto Ontario. She married Kenneth Fisher in 1950 and moved to British Columbia. Ken’s employment in the Canadian Air Force moved them to numerous Provinces, before moving back to British Columbia in 1968.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Fisher, son Bruce and sister Marie. Shirley is survived by, and will be lovingly remembered by, her brother David Platt (Gayle), daughters Judi (Ashley), Joanne (Schneider), four grand children Scott (Sabine), David (Niki), Sherri (Shane) and Teena, as well as six great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley spent many happy hours playing board games and card games with her family. Bridge with her friends was the highlight of her week. She was an avid reader. Mom did love her needlepoint and puzzles. She loved animals, particularly Buffy and Toby who were the joys of her life.
At Shirley’s request there will be no service. Condolences may be forwarded to the family through her obituary at www.bowersfuneralservice.com
