It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Anne Dureen. Shirley and her loving husband of 45 years Jim, lived in Chilliwack raising their beautiful daughters.
They enjoyed their summer vacations, BBQing, and spending time with Uncle Grainger’s family. Jim’s parents, brothers and sister were a great part of their lives, and shared family functions throughout the years.
Shirley enjoyed crafting and sharing with others the treasures she made.
She was a collector of antiques and eclectic one-of-a- kind items.
Shirley’s greatest joy came from her grandchildren, and she always had brag books to share with everyone.
Shirley was born and raised in the Fraser Valley. After graduation she attended College and received her Medical Office Assistant Certificate and worked with Dr. Bartel at his practice for many years.
Shirley is survived by her husband James Edward Dureen.
Daughters: Alyssa (Jim) Wilson; Tacye (Brad) Tilitzky; Kirsten (Len) McLean.
Grandchildren: Bexley, Iver, Wyatt, Brody, and Zane.

Sisters: Beatrice (Ed) Penner; Cathy (Travis) Lowe; Lorraine Penn; Lorie (Mike) Hadden.
In-Laws: Melvin (Cathy) Dureen, Keith (Dianne) Dureen; Heidi (Charlie) Wall; John Dureen
The Celebration of life will be a private ceremony with close family members and friends.
