November 26, 1929 – December 8, 2022
Born in Melville, Saskatchewan, Sheila taught Mathematics on RCAF base “2 Wing” in France and in Kenora, where she met John Durham. John and Sheila married in 1963, and moved westward, ultimately settling in Abbotsford, their home of 44 years.
Sheila is survived by John, daughters Jennifer (Michael) and Kristen, grandchildren Rachel, Sarah, James and John, and nieces Cheryl and Wendy and their families.
Predeceased by her parents Dr. Claude Lyons Davison and Alberta Mae Phelps, sister Roberta, nephew Robert and her cats, Tarkas, Candy and Cooky.
Sheila was an avid reader who travelled widely and will be remembered for her grace, intelligence, and fierce love of her family, both human and feline.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday December 21st at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home (34357 Marshall Road, Abbotsford).
