It is with unimaginable heartache and much love that we mourn the peaceful death or Ryan Allan Robert Jeffrey of Chilliwack on December 6th, 2021 at the age of 40.
Anyone who knew Ryan knows that he was a man who loved his family with his whole heart. They were his joy, his passion, and his reason for always striving to do better.
Like his father Brian Jeffrey, he loved hockey and golf and passed this passion for both sports onto his son Marcus.
He loved outdoor activities and could often be found tubing at the Vedder River or slipping down the slides with Marcus and Hanna at Cultus Lake Water Park. Snow days were his favourite, enjoying sledding, tubing, snowboarding and building snowmen with his children.
Ryan found gratification in cooking for his family and cooked beautiful meals from scratch. His home was a sanctuary. It was warm and inviting, beautifully decorated and filled with family photos on every wall, table and shelf. He kept a clean home and had already taught Christian how to vacuum.
Ryan was especially close to his mother Andrea. She will miss their daily chats, sometimes about struggles, advice or even a simple I Love You.
Ryan had a deep belief in God and in 2011, gave his life to Jesus and was baptized at Southside Church.
He had deep loyalty to all those he loved and never spoke a bad word behind ones back. His smile and infectious laugh will not easily be forgotten.
Ryan would want you to know that he fought his uphill battle with all he had, until his very last breath.
Ryan will be lovingly remembered by his mother and stepfather, Andrea and Brian Botley; children: Marcus, Hanna-Lynn and Christian; Partner: Alex Marshall and stepson Wade; sister: Tara (Graham) Parson; nieces and nephews: Dominic, Bianca, Ethan and Brynn; stepbrothers: Michael and Rory Botley as well as countless family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Brian Jeffrey, brother Andrew and his stepsister Alysha Botley.
A celebration of life in Ryan’s honour will be held at Henderson’s funeral home in Chilliwack on Monday December 20th at 1:30pm.
