It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Rosemarie Aro (nee Bourgeois) on May 2, 2023.
Rosie was born June 10, 1949 in Nelson, BC to Louis and Margaret Bourgeois.
She married David Aro in 1968 and set out around Canada to support his Manager Roles with Macleods and ultimately finishing their career at True Value in Trail, BC.
Rosie was mom to her daughters Coreen (Darrell) Strom, and Shelley (Lauri) Pompu. She was grandma to Leif (Breanne), Samantha (Matt), Dallin (Heidi), Amanda, Emilee (Joel) and James (Bryana). She also delighted in her role as Great Granny to 15 beautiful great grandkids.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Dave, her parents and brothers Martin and Charlie.
She has two surviving sisters Janice and Jeanette and a brother Frank.
Thank you to the healthcare professionals and emergency personnel that attended to her needs.
No service by request. An intimate family gathering will be held at a later date.
