Ron became a red seal carpenter in Saskatchewan and moved to Campbell River in 1968 where he built a reputable business and reputation as a skilled contractor. Ron made every job site fun with song and entertainment along with his expectation of excellence. Over the years he was also well known for his love of hanging out with friends and family “suckling” beer while wearing his Blue hard hat- the BS was thick you can be sure.
We smile as we picture Ron reuniting with all his buddies and relatives who have already passed. What a PARTY that must be.
One of Ron’s hobbies was to tinker with food, his ability to combine various spices for smoked salmon, pickled fish, sausages, cured ham etc was legendary and inter-provincial. lol
Ron’s family would like to extend a huge Thank you to the Evergreen Palliative Care team for their love and compassion given to our family and Dad in his final days.
A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held on May 7, 2022 at the Campbell River Community Hall from 1:30-4:30.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Evergreen Seniors Home or Campbell River Hospice.
