October 16, 1933 - July 30, 2023
In loving memory ~
Ronald Stanley Polack passed away peacefully on July 30, 2023. Ron was predeceased by his wife June (nee Falconer) and his brother Leonard. He is survived by his sister Eleanor Hayden, his five children, David (Julie), Brenda (Jack), Robert, Russell (Barb), and Andrew (Cindy); and his eight grandchildren.
Ron was born in Toronto on October 16, 1933, to Leonard and Gwendolyn Polack. As the youngest of three children, he was destined for leadership, serving on the student council in high school and as student council President at college. He met his future wife June when she was 16 and he was 17. After several years of friendship, they discovered their undeniable love and after a brief courtship, they married on August 31, 1956. Their life together was a passionate affair, full of kids, friends, and colleagues from all around the world. It was an epic adventure and a journey they shared together.
As Ron was developing his chiropractic practice, he and June met people of spiritual vision and began a life of providing that same vision and leadership themselves. Together, Ron and June began a life of service, travelling and connecting with people all over the world. They settled in Vancouver in 1966 and lived in the area for most of their lives, returning to Ontario from 1984 to 1994 to coordinate an intentional community in Aurora. Returning to Vancouver, they retired from their leadership roles and Ron re-established his healing practice. Always together in their life purpose, June assisted Ron in his practice. Their life of service continued until their retirement and move to Victoria in 2017.
Ron's passions in life were many; most notably his love of people, as made obvious by his rich circle of friends and his love of family. He was a singer, a healer, and he loved to speak of the vast world around us and our place in it. His passion for life was a beacon to all those that knew him.
Ron will be remembered as a gentle giant, a friend and mentor to many, and a loving and dynamic father to his children. We wish him well on his journey forward, as we acknowledge his passion to be with his precious June.
