In loving memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin Storoschuk, who left us on November 21, 2024, after a courageous six-month battle with brain cancer. He faced his final days with grace and courage, showing strength and dignity as he navigated the final chapter of his journey.

He is now reunited with his father, Buck; his parents-in-law, Margie and Elwood Kaufman; and his beloved wife, Laura Kaufman Storoschuk, who predeceased him.

Robin is lovingly remembered by his cherished daughters, Hannah and Chloe (Evan Dungate), who were his greatest pride and joy, and his devoted partner, Lynda Colgate, whose love and care brought warmth and happiness to his final years. He is also survived by his mother, Beverly, his brothers Tim (Leasa Williamson) and Rick, and a wide circle of extended family, friends, neighbors, and community members who will continue to honor his memory.

Robin was born on April 28, 1962, in North Vancouver. He attended Kwaleen Elementary, Anne Stevenson Secondary, and graduated from Columneetza Secondary School in 1980. In 1993, he earned a diploma in Renewable Resource and Forest Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In 1989, Robin met Laura Kaufman at the Billy Miner Saloon in Williams Lake. They married in 1993 and shared 22 wonderful years together, raising their two daughters in the Cariboo. Robin spent most of his life in this beautiful region, surrounded by nature and creating treasured memories with his friends and family.

Robin was a free spirit with an insatiable passion for living life to the fullest. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in boating, camping, or simply relaxing with his beloved pets. A connoisseur of country music, Robin brought great tunes and even better times wherever he went. His playful nature and knack for pranks brought smiles and laughter to everyone he met. Robin's youthful energy and dedication to his community made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

A talented and creative soul, Robin had a remarkable gift for fixing or building nearly anything. His hands were always busy with a project, and his ability to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary was unmatched. His ingenuity and craftsmanship were a testament to his passion for hands-on work and problem-solving.

In his final days, Robin was surrounded by the unwavering love and care of his family and close friends. Their devotion and compassion brought him comfort and peace. His daughters and Lynda were by his side every step of the way, ensuring he felt their endless love and support. Robin passed away peacefully at the Deni House, cared for with tenderness until the very end.

Robin will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He lit up every room he entered, and his joyful spirit will continue to inspire and comfort those he leaves behind.
