June 4, 1951 - November 16, 2024

In loving memory ~

Robert John Warren, better known as "RJ", born on June 4,1951 in Toronto, Ontario went home to his Heavenly Father on November 16, 2024.

RJ is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lea-Marie, daughters Hannah (Keenan) and Bethany (Austin). Also, by his 2 sisters Lori Benham-Culp (Erwin deceased) and Dawn Colber (Scott), and their children. RJ grew up in Petawawa, Ontario as an army brat and then his work at Canada Post eventually took him to Nelson, BC. He spent 32 years as a postie and union rep and then enjoyed retirement with various activities with friends and family.

In 2017, he had the first of three major strokes, but that never stopped RJ from facing life with humour and resilience. Although he was in Kelowna ICU for 3 weeks in November, it wasn't until two days before his passing that we learned of his cancer diagnosis.

Rather than recount his history with medical challenges, RJ would have wanted it known that he most likely died from all those years of yelling on the softball diamonds and in hockey rinks. He loved and played these sports with matchless intensity as everyone who played with him could attest to. He was also great at annoying people, another lifelong sport that characterized RJ.

RJ's love for his two daughters and wife was gold. He cherished life whether it was camping at Kokanee or Silverton or the much anticipated annual boogie boarding trips to Zihuatanejo with his besties.
