June 29, 1958 - September 11, 2023
It is with great sorrow that we announce Glen's passing on September 11, 2023 after a brief illness.
Glen is survived by his wife of 32 years, Liz, children Tyler, Jamie and Alex, and his father Robert. He was predeceased by his mother, Gail.
Glen was born in Georgetown, Ontario, but spent most of his life in B.C. after riding across the country on his motorcycle. He spent his early 20's in Terrace, Kitimat and Fraser Lake where he enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his friends. During a brief return to Ontario, he met Liz and they got married. When he received a job offer in Vancouver, they moved to B.C. to start their lives together.
Glen and Liz spent most of their years in the Chilliwack area, except for five busy years in the 100 Mile House area where their three children were born. Glen loved the Cariboo and was a volunteer firefighter in Forest Grove. Every winter the freezer was full of moose and salmon.
In 2004, Glen started a business in Abbotsford, and Liz joined the company a few years later. They worked together at the business until they retired in 2022 to travel in their 5th wheel trailer.
We take comfort in the fact that Glen lived life fully every day. We will always remember him behind the wheel of his truck, riding a quad, or on his favourite Harley.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us through this difficult time.
The family will have a private service in the Cariboo at a later date.
