Robert died after a short illness at Southlake Regional Health Centre surrounded by close family.
Loving and devoted husband to Lois for 64 years, beloved father of Barbara Anne and Susan Michelle.
Adored and proud grandfather of Matthew Robert and Sarah Lois.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised in Revelstoke, B.C., Robert worked as a public servant for Canada Revenue Agency before retiring in 2008. Robert was a dedicated member of the Masonic Temple for over 50 years and will be remembered for his love of music and the good times enjoyed with his many friends and family.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at Southlake Hospital Cardiac ICU for their care and compassion for Robert in his final days.
Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Robert's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 79 Victoria St., Aurora, Ontario 905-727-6101 with the date to be updated at www.ThompsonFH-Aurora.com as soon as available.
