In loving memory ~
On September 30th, Robert (Bob) Vanderwall sadly passed away at the age of 84, he was surrounded by his family.
Bob worked at Harmac, in Nanaimo, as an electrician for several years and was an active member of PPWC Union during his career serving as Vice President for a term.
He spent several years canoe racing with Indigenous Peoples which allowed for healthy competition and good friendships. Bob enjoyed living aboard and sailing his beloved sailboat, Hyades. He traveled as far north as the Queen Charlottes and as far south as Mexico fulfilling his life's dream. Bob was also a motorcycle enthusiast from a young age continuing to ride into his early 80's.
He was preceded by his son Jon, his parents and four siblings. Bob is survived by his three children Treen (Chris) Mac Coll, Bob Vanderwall, Lisa Ripka, his six grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
He was a kind hearted and generous man to a fault
and he will be deeply missed.
A private celebration of life to be held at a later date.
