Surrounded by love and support from family, Rita Marguerite Coombs passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023. Mom was born in Battleford, Saskatchewan, to William Pritchard and Marguerite Nolin Pritchard. She lived in Sunningdale for 69 years.
Predeceased by her parents, husband Wellesley; sons Wellesley Jr., Blair and Gordon; six sisters and two brothers. Survived and lovingly remembered by daughter Beverley Rita (Lix); grandchildren Boyd, Greg, Carrie, Lori, Marielle and Laura; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Trinity, Forest Kame, Max, Bruno, and Ava; great-great granddaughter Kassie; sister-in-law Heather Pritchard, daughter-in-law Val Coombs, and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was a grand lady of style and distinction, with a spirited soul. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker and later in life an accomplished artist, pursuing her passion with intensity, becoming a lifetime member of the Trail Art Club. She also loved playing the guitar and singing, accompanied by her husband Wellesley on the autoharp, hosting dinner parties, and had many long-time friends.
She was an amazing and remarkable woman who loved her family above all else and blessed us with 103 years of her life. Mom leaves a legacy of love and happy memories and will always be dear to our hearts.
The family is grateful for the attentive care she received at Rosewood Village and Poplar Ridge.
There will be no service by her request. Respecting her wishes cremation has taken place and a family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.Obituary-
