August 1, 1927 - September 26, 2022
Reg was born in Ponoka Alberta on September 1, 1927. He was the eldest son of Ralph and Gertrude Hambly. Reg left us on September 26, 2022 at 95 years of age at Menno Home in Abbotsford.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean and his brothers Laverne, Terry and sister Pat.
Reg will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Jim (Allyson), Howard (Maureen), Mike (Carrie) and Rob (Allison). Grandchildren Kristal, Laura (Dwayne), Melissa (Tyler), Sara (Dan), Colin and Colby.
Great-grandchildren Khristine (Tyler), Mikaela, Tucker, Emery and Andy. Reg also has a great-great-grandchild expected in November.
The family moved to the Fraser Valley in 1966 and continued farming until the farm was sold and he became manager of the Abbotsford Curling Club. Reg was an avid curler and made many friendships over the years. Reg also loved golf and could be found at the golf course or at his coffee meetings with friends at Seven Oaks mall. Many world problems were solved at those meetings.
Celebration of Life will be held October 23rd from 2-5 pm at the Abbotsford Curling Club, 2555 McMillan Road, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to either the Abbotsford Regional Hospital Foundation Kidney Care Clinic or the BC Heart Association is welcomed.
