Raymond Brian Dean

February 1, 1935 – August 2, 2022
In loving memory ~
With heavy hearts, the family of Raymond Brian Dean announce the passing of a beloved father and Grandfather on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the age of 87.
Ray was born on February 1,1935 in London, England “within the sound of Bow Bells” to Joseph and Violet Dean. He will now be reunited with his dear wife of 57 years, Mavis.
In 1961, Ray married Mavis Elizabeth Potter, his true love. Together they immigrated to Canada first residing in Montreal and eventually making their way across Canada to make their home in BC.
Ray will be fondly remembered for his great wit and humorous ditties, for never passing up a dessert, for his fine woodworking skills, his love of nature walks with kids and dogs in tow, and mostly for his devotion to family. He will be dearly missed by all his children and grandchildren: Michael (Gina): Riley, Adam, Hannah; Andrew (Corrine): David, Bradley, Jessica and Terry (Laurie): Brittany, Jane and Tristen.
There will be a private family service to celebrate his life.
In memory of Ray, memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of BC.
Although always young in spirit one of Ray’s favourite sayings in recent years:
“A word of advice, don’t get old”
