In loving memory ~

It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Phillip Crosby-Jones on the morning of May 8th, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife Margy; daughter Lisa, son Brett (Janis); and grandchildren James, Emma, Ryan, Liam, Harrison, Alex, and Rosemary. Phil was predeceased by his first wife Nadia, son-in-law Barrie, and his siblings. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, dedication, and grace.

Phil was born in England in 1933, as the second of four children. He lived a life of adventure which filled his spirit with curiosity, knowledge and storytelling. At 18 he left home to travel and work in law enforcement in Africa. Eventually his travels brought him to Alberta, where he raised a family. He rose through the ranks of the Calgary Police Service, eventually leaving Alberta and becoming the Director of the Police Academy of the Justice Institute of BC. In his spare time and retirement, Phil was most passionate about family, running, travel, music, and theatre. Living his life to the fullest, he embraced the words of William Shakespeare, "If I must die I will encounter darkness as a bride and hug it in mine arms".

A private celebration of life will be held in the summer.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Phil's name to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
