February 27, 1954 - January 11, 2022
Pat passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022, at Nanaimo Regional Hospital of respiratory failure. Friends were by her side.
Pat was born on February 27, 1954 in Minnedosa, Manitoba. She spent most of her life in Manitoba where she studied at University in Winnipeg and became a Social Worker.
In 2004 she moved to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island to be closer to her cousin.
For ten years she worked as a Social Worker for Island Health, both in the Community and at the Nanaimo General Hospital. She retired in 2014.
Pat had many interests and hobbies which she was able to pursue more seriously after her retirement.
She loved to paint in water colours, enjoyed gardening and reading as well as her association with the Federation of University Women.
The social aspects of all these activities were very important to Pat and she made many friends.
The great joy in her life was her little dog Benji. The Dog Parks became favourite walks for both, Pat and Benji.
Pat was very kind and had a lovely smile. She also gave great hugs which will be deeply missed by her friends.
The journey is over. Rest in Peace, dear Pat.
