In Loving Memory ~
Olga was born in Saskatoon on September 23, 1930 and passed away on August 15, 2023 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by husband Archie, parents, William and Maria Smotryski; daughter Christine Guild; cousin Jerry Hnennyj and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Olga is survived by cousin Verna Richmond (Terry), 2nd cousin/goddaughter Leah Denis (Rick) as well as 2nd cousins Colby Richmond (Kay), Nick Hnennyj (Michelle); and son-in-law Phil Guild.
Olga led an active life working at the Plywoods, Eatons, Royal Bank and Woodwards. Her leisure life included trips to Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia in their beloved camping trailer, then summers at Bowser Bills and many sightseeing trips in their motorhome. The summer home at Sproat Lake became her and Archie’s special place of enjoyment for many years.
As time progressed, gardening became her passion and she spent her last years grooming her yard at home in Port Alberni.
A private family graveside service has taken place at Alberni Valley Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Olga’s memory may be made to the S.P.C.A.
