In Loving Memory ~
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Norman Heppner on January 24, 2025, at the age of 92. He is lovingly remembered by Edith Heppner, his three children—Brad (Sharon), Pam (Greg), and Penny (Blaine), as well as his grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Born in Clairmont, Alberta in 1932, Norm moved to Abbotsford in 1946. Fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a Police Officer, he joined the Matsqui Police Department in 1956, which later became the Abbotsford Police Department. He served with distinction and dedication, retiring as an Inspector in 1992 after a long and respected career.
Following retirement, Norm took time to travel before becoming an active member of Rotary International. He also volunteered with the Municipal Pension Retirees Association, serving as Vice President for nine years.
As per his wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family will gather privately to celebrate his life and legacy. Norm will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
