In Loving Memory ~
With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Norman New. Norman was born in 1933 in Smoky Lake, Alberta to John and Beatrice New, the youngest child with older sister Gladice. He met the love of his life Glenys Owens and they were married in Prince Rupert in 1956. In 1960 they moved to Castlegar (Kinnaird) where Norm started work at the new pulp mill.
Norman was very active in a lot of things throughout his life. He loved to hike, camp, square dance and golf. He also loved to hunt, fish and garden. He took immense pride in this and provided much of the food on our table this way.
Norman was predeceased by his loving wife Glenys, parents (John and Beatrice), his sister Gladice and his granddaughter Jacqueline.
Norman is survived by his children Warren, Kevin (Joanne), Cheryl (Marty), Teena (Doug), grandchildren Russell (Brandy), James (Francesca), Candis (Kristin), Mechelle (Galen), Karleigh (Tanner), Wheeler, Axel and Nathan.
Great grandchildren Rozzilyn, Jaxxon, Asher, Alden, Everleigh, Dawson, Annie, Andrea, Andrew and David.
There will be no service at Dads request. The family would like to thank Wayne and Tracy of Clark's Funeral Services. Thanks also to the staff at Castlewood, Columbia View Lodge and Talarico Place for your care and compassion.
