In loving memory ~
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas Vuckovic, who left us on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the tender age of 42.
Nick was such a tour de force. He will be missed for his larger than life personality, always putting everyone else before himself. He made everyone around him feel like they could conquer the world by making the impossible seem possible. He encouraged his friends to come out of their shells and not limit themselves in any way. He had a world class wit that would always take you by surprise and he always enjoyed a lively debate.
Nick loved star gazing in the middle of the night; feeling free and swimming as far as he could in the middle of the lake; packing up his car and taking long road trips getting to his destinations in record time on little sleep; being a card shark hustling his best friends over a late night game of poker full of laughs.
Nick is survived by his beautiful wife and soul mate Nadia who called him Teddy for his endless hugs and cuddles that made her feel so safe and loved; his loving and proud parents Ksenia and Stan who were always impressed with how fearlessly he took on life's challenges; his younger brother Mark who would always steal his favorite toys growing up and always looked up to his older brother; his sister-in-law Amy who enjoyed spending time with him playing cards with the family and was grateful to have given Nick one of his last hugs; his fur baby Akitla that always loved the epic walks he would take her on. He is also survived by his wonderful Toronto family Tahira and Mahmood Sheikh and Leena, Asim and Kai Khan who all made the trip from Toronto to be with him during his last moments.
Nick will also be remembered by his family in Montreal, Serbia, Sweden, England, and Pakistan and the many friends he impacted in high school and university - too many to list here.
In Nick's memory, we ask everyone to continue living life to the fullest! We all love you Nick and we promise we're going to see you again one day.
Rest in Peace Nicky.
