July 25, 1935 - April 22, 2025

In loving memory ~

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Morise Sitko, who died peacefully on April 22, 2025, at the age of 89. A longtime resident of Duncan, B.C., Morise was known for his quiet strength, generous heart, and deep love for his family.

Born in Seech, Manitoba, on July 25, 1935, Morise grew up in Terrace Bay, Ontario, and moved to British Columbia in 1964. He spent most of his career at the Crofton Pulp Mill as an industrial painter, where he was respected for his craftsmanship, dedication, and camaraderie with coworkers.

In retirement, Morise enjoyed many peaceful hours on the golf course. Golf was more than a pastime—it was a way for him to connect with friends, share laughter, and appreciate life's simple joys. His calm demeanor and warm smile made him a cherished companion both on and off the green.

Morise's greatest joy was his family. He is lovingly remembered by Margaret; their children, Allison (Mike), Paul (Debbie), and Noreen; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Dylan, Megan, Declan, and Amy. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and quiet humor lives on through them.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Morise's memory by spending time with loved ones, taking a walk in nature, or enjoying a round of golf in his honor.
