Mavis McGregor

August 13, 1949 – May 17, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mavis McGregor (nee Johnson). Mavis passed away May 17, 2022, at the age of 72 in Vernon Jubilee Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
Mavis was a caring, unique and genuine woman who will be missed by all who knew her. She was someone who would help anyone at any time and genuinely enjoyed giving her time to others. Throughout her years of service as the face of Ladyman Sasaki Glennie and then O’Callaghan Bilodeau, she brought smiles and confidence to the clients that walked through their doors.
Mavis was a caring and devoted daughter, sister, mother, wife, aunt and friend to all of us that were lucky enough to have her in our lives. Mavis loved baking, crafting, knitting and crocheting and often used these skills to help others in the community. Mavis lived in Armstrong, BC, all of her life where she grew up with her sister, Jane Bourgeois (nee Johnson), her brother Jim Johnson and her mother and father, Robert (Bob) Johnson and Elizabeth (Betty) Johnson (nee Laughlin), as well as a larger extended family. Armstrong is where she met her husband Lance McGregor and where she would raise her children Lindsay and Jamie.
Mavis cherished her time with her family and friends and was often the center of family gatherings held in her home. Mavis’s light, love and laughter will be deeply missed by her friends and family and she will remain in our hearts always.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Odd Fellows Hall in Armstrong, BC. All that wish to pay their respects are welcome to come and join family and friends at this time.
