November 2, 1934 - February 20, 2022
It is with saddened hearts that we announce that on February 20, 2022, Maureen Jennie Pullman passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Maureen was born on November 2, 1934 to Stanley and Elsie (Orr) Hoggard.
Maureen grew up in Edmonton, Alberta before moving with her family to Vancouver. It was here that she met and married her late husband Arthur Pullman.
Later in life, following Art's retirement, they moved to Port Alberni. In 2018, following her husband's passing, she moved to Cape Breton to be closer to her daughter and family. Maureen's life was marked by her relationship with God and her love for others. She spent many years working as a counselor for 700 Club and as an outreach worker with Crossfire Ministries, reaching out to prostitutes in the Vancouver's East End.
Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Bob and Jim and sister Marjorie.
Maureen is survived and will be missed by her children Robert "Bob" (Tanya) Kallis and Raeleen (Andrew) Chapman, sister Beth Severson, step children Debbie Pullman and David (Houmi) Pullman, grandchildren: Jaida, Julian, Kaitlyn, Kaeden, Caleb (Bridget), Isaiah, Hannah and Joseph, great grandson Elias as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Greenwood officiating.
