Mom passed into the arms of our Lord in 100 Mile House, B.C., surrounded by family.
Mary Lou was born the 8th child of 15 to Cyril and Frances Strain in Vancouver, B.C. She moved to Deka Lake with her husband Dusty in 1980; she had a brief 7 years in Vernon, then returned to Deka Lake in 2019 for her remaining years.
Mom was a hard worker all her life. Raising 7 children and working full time for Canada Post for many years. She took in several foster children and supported many international ones. She also cared for her sister Joan and brother Bill until his passing.
Mom had the pleasure of playing softball with 4 of her 5 daughters.
Predeceased by her parents, husband Earl (Dusty), daughter Roseann, son Tom, grandson Dustin, and son-in-law Del Haeber, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
Survived by her children, Margaret Renney-Haeber, Mary Lou Keen (Ernie), Marlaine Ballantyne (Al), Fran Bird (Derek), and son Pat Renney, and sisters Sr. Kathleen Strain, Shirley Strain, and Theresa Stewart. 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews
