Mary Frances Goch (née Gledsdale) passed away suddenly on February 9, 2025, at the age of 73 at her home in Langley, British Columbia.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, John, and their children, Carrie (Dale), Jamie (Janna), Robyn, and Brian (Tanya). Mary was a cherished grandmother to Maddox, Mak, Dryden, and Camryn. She is also survived by her brother, John (Shelley).
Born on March 6, 1951, in Liverpool, England, to Jim and Bobby Gledsdale, Mary moved with her family to Canada in 1953. She grew up in North Vancouver, where she met John during her senior year of high school. They married in 1971 and later settled in Langley after the birth of their first child. There, they built a life together, raising their family and embracing the joys of grandparenthood.
Mary had a passion for reading and loved capturing memories with pictures and scrapbooking. Mary was well known in Langley Softball for her volunteerism and commitment to the softball community when her children played. She continued her love of youth sports as a constant and enthusiastic fan at all her grandchildren's sporting events.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held on March 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Willoughby Community Hall, 20809 83rd Avenue, Langley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Children's Hospital in her memory.
