January 30, 1953 - May 15, 2023
In loving memory
On Monday, May 15, 2023, Marsha Lloyd, loving wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister and friend passed away in Campbell River BC at the age of 70 years. She was at home, surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.
Marsha was born to Ted and Leila Lloyd on Jan 30, 1953 in Powell River BC.
Marsha studied to be a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and had worked in various institutions and agencies in B.C. over her career. She retired from Vancouver Island Health Authority in 2011.
Marsha championed many non-profit associations such as Rotary, Adaptive Ski Sports, River Spirit Dragon Boat Society, Grandmothers to Grandmothers, and Hospice Society to name a few.
On Dec 27, 1985, Marsha married Barry Peters in Terrace B.C. They raised two children of their own, Ben and Julia and many other young people were invited into their lives via Rotary Student Exchange Program (12 in total) and presently they are funding a young Vietnamese man to complete his engineering degree.
It is no surprise that Marsha was loved by anyone who was lucky to have met her. She is described as kind, humorous and loving. She loved her family fiercely and was a loyal friend and confidant.
Marsha is survived by her brothers Pat, Art, Bruce and sister Amy and dad Ted. She will be missed by all and leaves here with our love.
Marsha's family wishes to thank all the wonderful care givers at Campbell River Hospital and the Cancer Care Center in Victoria. They also wish to thank the Red Cross for all the special equipment they provided.
