Marlene passed away at home in Hope early on December 2 with her mother Muriel, husband Adriaan, and daughter Esther by her side. She is survived also by her brother Steven and 7 beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father John Young and sisters Julie and Karen.
Marlene was well-loved in the community for her contagious smile, dry sense of humour, being an excellent host and for her hard work ethic. She set an example to many and will be missed greatly.
The funeral service for Marlene will be held at 2pm on December 11 at the Grace Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Pentecostal Church or the Mouth and Foot Artists, as she loved their work. www.mfpacanada.com
