In loving memory ~

Sadly, our beloved, Marjorie "Marge" Rokosh, passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 82, after a battle with cancer. Born on March 21, 1943, Marjorie was known for her passion, creativity, and the loving spirit she brought into the world.

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband, Herb Rokosh; her 2 children Brad Rokosh (Sharon) and Debbie Scott-Kerr (Chris); her 3 grandchildren Rae Rokosh(Ben), Connor and Chloe Scot-Kerr; her 2 great-grandchildren, Oren and Noa Wadowski; her 2 sisters Florence Luhowy (Orest) and Joyce (Wayne) Magnuson and her 2 brothers Norman (Valerie) Blasco and Victor (Iris) Blasco.

Marjorie grew up in Winnipeg Beach. She was one of nine children to Mary and Mike Blasco. Growing up in a busy household is where she learned to love cooking and baking. She moved to Winnipeg when she was 16 years old and later met her husband, Herb. They were married on November 5th, 1965, and continued to live in Winnipeg for several years, where she dedicated her time to caring for her family and raising her children. She was known to spend numerous hours making homemade breads and pastries, as well as engaging in crafts, and curling.

In April 1994, Herb and Marge retired to Vancouver Island where she developed a love of golf and gardening. Shortly after arriving, she became a member of the Pheasant Glen Golf Club and spent several days a week on the golf course. Golfing quickly became one of her passions. She excelled at this sport, winning several tournaments and events, including the Zone 6 championship in 2023. She was even lucky enough to make 2 "hole in one" shots. She joined the gardening club and enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers, growing herbs and garlic, and harvesting her many fruit trees. She spent the remainder of her free time trying out new recipes; keeping a steady supply of perogies and beer buns in her children's freezers; entering contests and watching her favorite television shows with her husband in the evening. She enjoyed entertaining and will be remembered for all of her wonderful meals, her genuine laugh, and sense of humor. She loved her family and friends and filled her home with warmth and kindness. She will be missed for all her thoughtfulness, companionship and excitement for life. She made an impact on many lives and will be forever missed.
