In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mario Ghilarducci on February 23, 2024. Mario was born in Tassignano, Lucca Italy on September 19, 1930 to Regolo and Argene Ghilarducci.

He embarked on an adventure to Canada in 1950, where he ultimately settled in Trail after securing work at Cominco. Mario returned to Italy visit his family in 1957, and it was then he met the love of his life Elisa (Pecchia) and they were married in 1958.

Mario was predeceased by his parents Regolo and Argene, his siblings Pietro, Annunziata, Paulo, Giuseppe, Enzo and Francesco, niece Sara and son-in-law Lucio (Stilla).

He is survived by his loving wife Elisa, daughter Jenny, most cherished granddaughter Alana and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mario was a loyal Smoke Eaters fan. He especially loved gardening and wine making and was well-known for his excellent wine. All who knew him know how much he enjoyed a good meal and a good glass of wine.

After retiring at the age of 57, he continued to engage in those hobbies until his 90th year, which gave him immense pleasure. Most of all, Mario was a family man who felt it his greatest privilege to care and provide for his loved ones, and especially adored his granddaughter, Alana.

Forever in our hearts -

we love you!
