We regret to announce the passing of ANNE MARIE BOURCET at The Gateby Care Facility in Vernon on July 26, 2004, at the age of 83 years. She was a resident of the Lumby area for over 50 years, and was a long time teacher in the Vernon-Lumby schools. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Rene, in 1966. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons: Louis (Debbie) of Queen Charlotte City, Rene (Jane) of Coldstream, and Michael (Linda) of Fort St. John; daughters: Carolyn (Phil) Bonvegna of Long Branch, New Jersey, Rita (David) Francis of Mackenzie, B.C., and Therese (Wayne) Martin of Prince George; and fifteen grandchildren. Anne is also survived by two sisters: Vicky (Larry) Zurburg of St. Gregor, Sask., and Angie Slack of Kingston, Ont., as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family members. She will be well remembered for her many years of community activity and her dedication to Sacred Heart Church. Prayers will be recited at the church on Wednesday, July 28, at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart R.C. Church on Thursday, July 29, at 11:00 am with Father Don O’Reilly celebrant. Interment will follow in Lumby Cemetery. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Anne to Hospice House, 3506-27th Ave., Vernon, V1T 1S4. Arrangements are in the care of VERNON FUNERAL HOME 250-542-0155.
