In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Anne Jeffrey announces her passing on Monday, April 29, 2024, in Penticton BC after a brief illness. She was 90 years old. Margaret was pre-deceased by her parents Harold and Mildred Jones, her brother Brian, and her beloved husband Glen.

Those left to celebrate Margaret's life are her beloved children: Douglas Bruce (Luanne), Clinton Andrew (Jamie), Scott Glenn (Elaine) and Allayne Lynn Clark; and her treasured grandchildren: Kathryn (Cody), Nathalie, Kevin, Thomas, Ryan, Laura, Ethan, Sarah, and Sydney.

Margaret was born and grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. Upon completing her schooling at Shawnigan Lake on Vancouver Island, she studied nursing at Vancouver General Hospital, achieving her RN certificate in 1956.

Margaret met and married her husband, Glen, in 1958 after which they moved to Kelowna. While raising their four children and keeping an orchard in Oyama, BC, Margaret was a full-time homemaker.

In 1969, the family relocated to Terrace, BC until her husband retired from CP Air in 1986. Margaret and Glen then returned to the Okanagan and lived in Winfield, where they remained until Glen passed away in 2019. Margaret was an avid gardener and loved cooking and knitting in her spare time. She also enjoyed camping and travelling with her husband and family to see the wonders of Canada, as well as many other parts of the world.

Margaret loved to visit with her grandchildren and her many close friends.

Margaret has let go of her earthly life to rejoin her beloved husband, Glen Jeffrey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced on Castanet.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
