August 6, 1936 - January 27, 2022
It is with great sorrow I announce the peaceful passing of my wife, partner and the love of my life, Mabel.
She was born in Saskatchewan on Aug 6, 1936 and as a baby came with her parents, Ole and Isabella Svensrud (nee Patrick), to Surrey BC.
In 1957 the family moved to Hope where Ole built a house on Rupert St.
Mabel was predeceased by her parents, brother Kenneth and sisters Irene Kennedy, Ruth Buxton, Wilda May Purser and Jean Wilkinson.
Mabel raised and nurtured a beautiful successful family even while working shift work in the forest industry. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She leaves behind her husband Wally, brother James Svensrud and his wife Sharon, her daughter Kathleen Larson, son Keith McKnight and grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Ryan, Thomas, Shane and Serena and great granddaughter Keisha.
Mabel also took her husband's son, Jeff, and his sons Jacob and Liam into her fold.
