December 12, 1933 - August 5, 2023
In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mom and Nonna, Luciana Bozzer on August 5th, 2023, with family by her side. Mom was born in San Lorenzo di Arzene, Pordenone, Italy on December 12th, 1933 and came to Canada in 1953 to be with her husband, Giuseppe, to start their new lives together.
Mom was always there for us while we grew up. She was a great wife, mother and cook, and we learned a lot from her.
Mom enjoyed cooking, baking and loved to keep her hands busy with crocheting and knitting. She spent countless hours making blankets, tablecloths, doilies, slippers and scarves. They remind us of her and we will cherish them always.
Many people will also remember all the great meals that she created over the years when she had her catering business at the Italo Canadese Hall.
Luciana is survived by her son Ray (Tina), daughter Sherry (Dave), granddaughters Danielle, Allison (Andrei), and great granddaughter Bronwen. Mom was also Nonna to Alison, Samantha, Talia, Mariah and their families.
She is also survived by her brother Giovanni (Lina) and sister Idelma in Italy, brother-in-law Remigio (Nives) as well as numerous nieces and nephews both here and in Italy.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Giuseppe, infant son Giovanni, parents Giuseppe and Teresa DePaoli, brother and sister-in-law Fortunato and Luigina, sister and brother-in-law Liglia and Benito, and nephews Denny and Ennio.
A small private family service will be held on Monday, August 14th at "Carberry's Chapel", followed by interment at Mountain View Cemetery with Father Ben Ruben, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Clark's Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
