In Loving Memory ~
Leroy (Lee) Brown passed away peacefully in his sleep in Palliative Care in Nanaimo at the age of 94 after suffering a stroke five days prior.
Lee was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Amos, his brothers Sam and George, and sisters Margaret and Agnes.
Lee is survived by his wife Marge, sisters Ester and Pearl, daughter Glenda (Guy), and sons Stephan and Doug (Debbie). Also, by his grandchildren Dax, Devon (Paul), Amber (Ray), Shelby (Grant), Stephanie, Travis (Taylor), and Mandie (Sean), great-grandchildren Marlane, Isabella, Andrea, and Jessie, and great-great-grandchildren Ricky, Dylan, Christian, and Seryniti.
Dad was born and raised in Nanaimo and in his younger years he enjoyed his horse and his motorcycle, and in his later years, he enjoyed his time at Horne Lake with the family.
He also spent a lot of time with us camping every summer from the time we were infants, along with brothers George's and Sam's families.
Dad was in construction from the time he was 18 until he retired at 65. He will definitely be missed by his large extended family and any surviving friends.
We would like to thank the nurses and staff on the 4th floor, and the nurses and volunteers at the Palliative Care unit of Nanaimo Hospital who all took such great care of him and offered such wonderful support for his family.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name could be made at Children's Hospital.
There will be a memorial service on March 31st at 2:00 p.m. at Sands Funeral Home on 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo.
We love you and miss you, Dad.
