STROOD, Leonard Samson

November 17, 1912 – June 1, 2005

Is survived by his wife of 63 years Harriet, Sons Ric, Grandchildren Justin and Benjamin (Texas), and Larry (at home) Grandchildren

Danny and Andrew. Also Sister-in-Law Betty Rewcastle of Winnipeg.

Born in Winnipeg, MB. Len served in WW2, was instrumental in designing equipment at the Atomic Energy Centre, Deep River,

Volunteer Firefighter, Rochester N.Y., member of the MT. Arrowsmith Legion, Ballenas Power Squadron, scuba instructor and avid horseman…riding “Sandy” regularly.

He will be remembered by all whose paths he crossed for his kindness, friendliness and his boxer “Sheba” who was always at his side on their walks.

The family would like to thank D.V.A., Home Care and NRGH staff for their concern and care.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 7th, at 2:00 pm at Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church. 550 N Pym Rd. Pastor Gordon Reeves officiating.
