Leona Hall

Leona Hall (Lavandusky), aged 77, of Nanaimo passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, following a brief illness.

Predeceased by her parents William (Bill) and Marjorie Lavandusky and her sister Karen Stotts.

Survived by her son Shane Hall, Granddaughter Brenna Hall, Sisters Shirley Heidelbach and Lillian (Brian) Warner as well as many close friends and extended family.

Born in Ladysmith BC on May 26/1946, Leona grew up in Ladysmith, where along with her parents and sisters blossomed in the community. After graduation, Leona went on to work at NRGH and Wellington Medical Clinic as a medical transcriptionist.

She moved to Nanaimo in 2008 to be closer to her son and a big part in Brenna's life. Leona always loved her time in Ladysmith and the time spent as a part of the Eagles organization.

Leona's family and friends would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and care aides at Agecare Malaspina for their care up to the end.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Eagles Hall Ladysmith at 921 First Avenue on Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 12pm-3pm for those who would like to attend.
