July 3, 2023 - Passed away peacefully at Ocean Front Village, Courtenay, BC. Leona is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Finn Keim, their daughter Fay (Rob) Punchak of Port Dover, Ontario, and son Niels Keim of Pender Island, BC. Also their beloved grandchildren Michael (Erica) of Selkirk, ON, Daniel of Pemberton, BC, Rachel (Mason) of Simcoe, ON, and Zoë of Kelowna, BC. Most recently, her precious great-granddaughter, Renee.
Leona is pre-deceased by her parents Ernest and Violet Tyers. Her siblings Ernest, Florence, Shirley, Stanley, Alice, Jack, two infants, and survived by her brother Mervin.
Leona will be fondly remembered by many as a caring soul with an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile. She loved to sing with the choir, dance at deck parties, and create beautiful bouquets from her flower gardens. Sewing, quilting, and knitting were just a few more of her many talents. Leona had many friends from Port Coquitlam, Pender Island, Fanny Bay, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Leona, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, she will be truly missed. Heaven gained a very special Angel.
