Leeann May Ratelle

April 20, 1953 - June 7, 2022
With a lifetime of loving memories, but heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Leeann May Ratelle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2022.
Leeann is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Don; 3 children - Jeff (Michelle), Dawn (Brett), and Mandy (Maurice);12 grandchildren; her mother Leny; 11 siblings; in-laws; and a large extended family. She is predeceased by her father Christiaan Les.
Leeann grew up on various dairy farms in Chilliwack and loved living in the country her entire life; she adored kids, people, her animals, and her garden. She took great pride in the beautiful gardens she created from the plants she grew in her greenhouse. Right to the end, she was determined to "get the garden in this weekend." Her freezers were always full of the food she grew, and she was renowned for the delicious baking that she generously shared, produced from that garden bounty.
Nothing made Leeann happier than spoiling her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh that we will not forget.
Leeann always had a special bond with animals, and she had a particularly special place in her heart for her horse Honey. She raised Southdown Sheep and won many trophies and ribbons at local fairs. Special dogs were Tucker and Zoey and the many Boston Terriers she had over the years.
Leeann leaves a huge void in our lives, and she will be deeply missed.
Service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home. Graveside service to follow at Vedder View Cemetery.
